This 10-20 meter tree is mostly found in coastal swamp forests, rivers and estuaries from the South Coast to Mozabique. The large leaves are arranged in spiraled clusters at the ends of branches. The tree features large, pink-white powder-puff flowers that hang in racemes. Look for hard, fibrous fruit on long danlging stalks.
